Makeup We Love

Makeup We Love

With so many fabulous makeup products on the makeup counters it’s hard not to write about all of them. My top makeup choices for this April 2011.

New Limited Edition Pretty in Prints Compact

Accessorize with colour. It would be rude not to with Clinique's exclusive colour compact in a one-of-a-kind design. Your makeup will look fresh and chic dressed in rich chocolate browns and fresh pops of pinks. It's all part of Clinique's limited-edition ‘Pretty in Prints Compact’ for eyes and cheeks, a stylish must-have in a drawstring pouch inspired by New York fashion designer Michelle Smith, creator of Milly.

Perfect for all skin types – The ideal gift for yourself only £25.

Long Last Glosswear with added benefit of SPF 15

I tried it and just loved the feel on my lips. This is a lip gloss juiced up with 8 hours of lasting shine and feels like it’s working every minute moisturizing lips. There are 18 glistening shades to choose from, everything from sheer to full intensity. Protects lips, with the added bonus of having SPF 15 in its formula for £14.

Benefit - Dr Feelgood

Check out the Benefit counter in Boots, it’s not simply about all the pretty packaging it’s the products themselves which are simply wicked. Treat your self to Benefit’s makeup, lotions and potions.

Dr Feelgood is a primer that gives you a matt complexion. Enriched with vitamins A, E and C. Vitamin C works as an antioxidant to protect your skin from pollution, smoking and sun exposure. It comes in a small round tin with an applicator sponge. The balm itself is a pale yellow colour, and has a subtle flowery smell. And what’s even better is that it’s not as expensive as many of the other primers on the market. Its easy to use, with the sponge provided, pat the balm over your face, paying particular attention to any areas where you have fine lines or enlarged pores. This product can be worn beneath or over your foundation, although I found, like any primer, its better directly on the skin then apply a foundation.

Benefit - smooth finish

Benefit Creaseless Smooth finish Cream Shadow/Liners have a velvet-rich sheen that won’t smudge or fade. Combine the latest Silver Spoon and Tidal Rave for smoky jewel-tone lids.

Urban Decay - the makeup duo made in heaven

When coupled with the ‘Sin Eye shadow Primer’ the ‘Stardust Eyeshadow’ gives an explosion of vibrantly coloured sparkle, minus the fallout and unwanted smudging. The Sin Eyeshadow primer is an ideal eyeshadow prep, that acts as a powerful magnet to ensure your eyeshadow colour will look fab for hours, will stay wear its meant to without the slightest hint of an unwanted crease or smudge.

Great value with the Sin Eyeshadow primer at £11.50 and the stardust eyeshadow at £14.

Check out this link – it’s the best one I found this month. Well done Chanel!
