Summer Brides 2015 Hair and Makeup

Braided-Bridal-HairYour wedding day is the most important day of your life and you deserve to feel confident in the way you look. Here are a few ideas and tips how you can wear your hair and have your makeup that will take your husbands breath away the moment you walk down the isle.

This year the spring fashion catwalks, the beauty and bridal magazines and recently during the ‘2015 Bridal Fashion Week,’ the models have fuelled an increasing trend for fresh, dewy, natural makeup looks with peach, coral and pastel pink lips matched with long thick curls and every possible combination of braided hairstyles, that incorporate small, delicate flowers, such as dainty daisy crowns and tiny wildflowers positioned around a halo braid or subtly entwined within long plaits and loose curls. This is a lovely gentle bridal look that flatters every bride and suits everything from a bob haircut to waist long hair.

Bridal-Barely-There-MakeupWhether you choose to wear your hair long and loose, in a sleek up-do, braided or in a traditional bridal bun, the selection for bridal hair accessories is massive this year especially if you want to break away from wearing a traditional veil.

What I have found interesting is that there is an increasing trend for ‘Origami’ hair accessories, everything from flowers, butterflies to elaborate crowns. It certainly is a usual yet a surprisingly fetching look.

Whilst a tight bun can be severe, instead of going for a delicate headband try wearing a more solid, yet simple head-band that covers a larger area of hair as this will soften the overall look and it’s sheer simplicity can look stunning.

Classic bun Large HeadbandThe best piece of advice I have always given to brides about their wedding makeup is that every bride should always look like herself, just an enhanced version.

This bridal season the most favoured look is a natural, chic and fuss-free understated makeup that brings out the brides best features in a most subtle way.

Inspired by the ‘no makeup look’ currently popular on the runways this year, this bridal look embraces romance rather than red carpet worthy glamour. This soft and natural makeup is all about creating a glowing complexion on a fresh base, achieved with flawless dewy or matte skin look. Even brides who usually prefer a strong, chiselled makeup look using strong bronzers to shade and highlight, this wedding season the focus is to break away from such dark high lights and heavy bronzers and instead to contour using soft peaches and warm pinks to produce a look that’s bright, soft and natural. This bridal look is completed with minimal eye shadow if any, subtle hints of blush and pale pink or nude lips.

Classic cats eye remain as popular as ever, only this year the cats eye is enhanced with a lovely long winged eyeliner along the upper lid, it’s a strong eye look that can be softened to suit every face and every individual makeup style.
