Night Out Makeup Looks and Tips

Night out makeupGold and silver are the new in style eye colours for 2014 and a fabulous look for a Saturday night out, especially when matched up with a silver or golden dress. Apply foundation or tinted moisturiser. Wear a bronzer one tone darker than your skin tone; add a touch of magic sparkle to your face by applying to the forehead and cheeks. For the eyes a warm golden eye shadow or a dazzling sparking sliver to match your dress. Define the eyes with lots of black mascara and eyeliner and finish with a splash of vibrant red lipstick to complete this alluring makeup look.

If you don’t often wear makeup the ‘Barely There’ look is just for you. You don’t have to wear load of makeup to make a statement. To give your skin a subtle winter glow I suggest silicon based foundation or tinted moisturiser. For the eyes pastel shadows, warm peach, soft pinks and light green blends. If you’re feeling bold a pair of false eyelashes will always draw attention to the eyes. For the lips warm pinks and peaches are always a good choice.

Makeup Box Tips

A few makeup tips to make sure that your makeup will look fresh all night long.

Prep your face with a silicon foundation primer – works well on every skin type. The primer is ideal beneath foundation, tinted moisturiser and bronzers.

Treat your self to a cream blush, especially if your skin is feeling a little dry. Cream blush gives the skin a soft glow and has more staying power than powder blushers.

Always apply an eyelid primer onto the eyelids, this will prevent your eye shadow from ugly creasing on the eyelids and will help to fix the eye shadow so it will last until dawn.

When using powder shadows apply with a damp makeup brush.

A warm lash curler will give your lashes a lovely curl. Use a hair dryer to warm your lash curler.

A must is waterproof mascara. Smudged mascara is not a good look.

If you’re lips are a tad dry I highly recommend Carmax, this little magic tub is filled with goodness, apply generously with a cotton bud and leave for two minutes before popping on your lipstick.

Use a lip liner, if possible the same shade as your lipstick, this will give your lips a sexy, shapely edge. Finish your lips with a soft, creamy lipstick applied with a lip brush.
