Bridal Makeup Tre ds-2013

Bridal Makeup Trends For 2013 and 2014

Each year bridal trends can differ as the years go by, especially when it comes to makeup! Vintage looks have been a big hit the past few years and  still in high demand ! Yet the makeup styles for many brides this summer are varied.

Bridal Makeup Trends 2013A lot of brides like a ‘no makeup, makeup’ look. The nude look is traditionally loved by brides but is one of the hardest to achieve without looking ‘plain’. This year flawless, glowing skin, contoured cheekbones and enhanced eyes seem to be a winner. A soft gold or bronze eye shadow with soft highlighting on the brow bone and inner corner of the eye would suit this look perfectly. A thick layer of mascara is a must as this is what will enhance those eyes; add a sleek peachy lip and we’re on our way to the desired look of 2013 for bridal makeup

This far less traditional look is perfect for the brides that like to be just that little bit different. It’s a look that plays up on one feature, a luscious red lip perhaps, or a defined cat eye, possibly even drawing attention to the cheeks for those that have a high cheekbone, expertly blended blusher would most certainly be bold. Something for the eyes could perhaps be a muted Smokey eye. Dark Smokey eyes again aren’t traditionally bridal however if you ask your make-up artist to use browns or bronzes or depending on how brave you are pastel colours are very much in trend this year.

Whatever you decide to choose for you bridal makeup be sure its something you’re totally comfortable with. You don’t want your fiancé to see a stranger walking down the aisle. If you’re not used to a bold red lip, don’t go for it, a pop of pink for spring is just as gorgeous. Test out lots of ideas before the big day; wear something a bit different on a night out or even just around the house to get used to it.
